ARE YOU MENTALLY TIRED?

Do you wake up feeling tired? Are you having disturbing or exhausting dreams? Are you losing your motivation to work or to study? Do you feel a constant need to sleep? Are you suffering from tension and stress that might be affecting you even physically? If you have answered yes to the majority of these questions, then it is very possible that you are mentally tired. Now accept it and do something about it.

You might feel shocked to find yourself suffering from particular symptoms when you have been feeling exploding with energy for such a long time. You might be even feeling so proud of yourself to have turned into a ‘super-man’ or a’ wonder-woman’. And why not? Once work is fulfilling you and you have a lot of opportunities coming your way, keep on doing your utmost to make the best out of each situation But don’t do more than you can take for weariness will accumulate until the moment comes when it will break you down, and it will happen when you least expect it. This is like when you’re drinking beer, sangria or other beverages in a hot sunny day. Every succulent sip is refreshing your dry throat so much that you will continue to drink until you take that one particular sip which will sweep you off your feet. Do everything at it’s own pace and try to avoid pressures, especially from those around you.

Many people just can’t say ‘no’ for they fear that they will disappoint or hurt others. If you’re mentally tired, both your mental and physical health will be affected so take care of yourself before taking care of others Then there are others who are too weak to stand up for their own rights. Pluck up confidence and speak up. Be assertive with yourself and others. Don’t let people play with your thoughts and emotions. You know that since we live on a very small island with very few opportunities, many people are ready to eat each other just as long as they get what they want so be cautious. Don’t be naïve and gullible. Sieve your situation well. Be also aware that there may be people around you who are allergic to responsibilities and they might be putting their load on you.

Ask yourself what is tiring you up:

Continuous over load of work?

High expectations on yourself?

Unnecessary pressures from others?

Negative energy around you?

Persistent tiring thoughts?

Too many responsibilities?

Lack of space and time for your own?

Do some self-awareness exercises but be true to yourself for you will never manage to solve your problem. Don’t let the mind control you. Control your own mind! Don’t let others control you. Be your own master.
